Training & Development
The programs and tools that turned institutional knowledge into something you could actually teach.
More Info
The Problem
An 80+ person organization across editorial and design can't maintain quality and consistency if training lives in people's heads. When someone left, was promoted, or transferred, institutional knowledge walked out with them.
What I Built
Cross-functional training programs covering print production, the design productivity system, editorial standards for designers, and new hire onboarding. Written guides, visual training decks, quick reference documents, and an editorial onboarding tracker to monitor new reporter progress through their first 90 days.
What Changed
Teams could onboard faster, managers had documentation to point to instead of repeating themselves, and quality standards became something you could actually train to rather than just expect.
